This story was originally inspired by the fact that Lucina's normal outfit is not only unflattering (which is understandable, since she was disguised as a man) but also just boring. I wanted to write a story about her that focused on her being in a different outfit. Drafts after the first incorporated Chrom and Robin's side of things, and it ended up being a story about family, rather than just wedding dresses. Funny how these things work out.
